Collins Glass
The Collins glass gets its name from the Tom Collins cocktail, after the popular cocktail made with gin, lemon juice, sugar, and sparkling water, which is traditionally served in this type of glass. While the Collins glass is most commonly associated with mixed drinks, it can also be used for other drinks such as iced tea or lemonade.
The Collins glass is a tall, narrow glass and has a capacity of about 12 ounces. The shape of the glass helps to keep the drink well-carbonated, and it also allows for a large ice cube, which helps to keep the drink cold.
Some cocktails that are served in a Collins glass are:
- Tom Collins
- Mojito
- Greyhound
- Collins Punch
- Madras
- Sea Breeze
